Oreo + Truffle+ Brownies = Chocolate Overload!
Seriously, is there such a thing as too much chocolate in one bite? I don't think so. This dessert from Chef in Training is chocolatey goodness. It's like the Oreo Truffles I posted years ago on top of brownies, topped with melted chocolate chips.
The dessert needs to be refrigerated, but I suggest letting it sit out for a while before cutting so the chocolate topping softens enough to cut through without cracking. I grated some white chocolate on top of mine, but feel free to get creative and top with nuts or sprinkles or something.

Oreo Truffle Brownies
1 c. butter, softened
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 t. vanilla
½ c. unsweetened cocoa
1⅓ c. flour
½ t. salt
Oreo Truffle Layer:
1 pkg. Double Stuffed Oreos
6-8 oz. cream cheese, softened, add more as needed
Chocolate layer:
1½ c. milk chocolate chips
½ c. semi-sweet milk chocolate chips
1 T. shortening
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease 9x13-inch pan. Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs and blend well. Add vanilla, salt, cocoa and flour. Don’t overbeat. Pour into pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Allow to cool completely.
While brownies are cooling, make Oreo truffle layer. Crush Oreos finely in a food processor or by putting them in a plastic bag and smashing them until finely ground with a rolling pin. When Oreos are finely crushed, using hands or a spoon, mash softened cream cheese and crushed Oreos until well combined. Start with 4 ounces and keep adding until desired consistency is reached. When brownies have cooled completely, place layer of Oreo truffle on top.
Chocolate Layer:
Combine chocolate chips and shortening together in a medium microwave safe bowl. Microwave in 30 second increments, stirring in between each increment until melted and smooth. Evenly spread over the top of Oreo Truffle layer. Let set up in fridge before cutting into.
