Big Blue Blob

Last week I was a couple of blocks away from our house, driving home, when I spotted it, the big blue blob. I was so excited because I knew what it was.Our little town finally started curbside recycling and I was waiting for our blue can. Since we received it, I've been trying to learn about what I can and cannot recycle. Most things are pretty obvious, but some items (lollipop sticks, chocolate chips bags) are harder to find info on. Of course, there is a phone number I can call. It's so great to be able to throw all the things in a can and have someone come pick it up. Under our sink was FULL of recycling things that I rarely got around to taking out. It looks so empty now!

  1. I'm jealous! Orem has cheap recycling if you use the city's waste management program ($3), but apparently those of us in apartments who use dumpsters don't go through the city so we don't qualify... I imagine it must be nice to have that empty space under your sink! Congrats (:

  3. I LOVE recycling! It sickens me when trash day comes around to see so many people throwing away so much stuff that could be recycled. Here I pay a guy (who makes pennies and just does it because he cares!) $10 a month to come every other week. I feel like going around to all he houses on the block and collecting all the boxes and stuff they fill up the dump with. Sigh. Okay, yeah for whatever Utah town you're in (used to live in Provo for years!).

  4. Congrats! I am excited too. Once I get back to GA, we'll have curbside recycling there too. I've been feeling bad these last couple of weeks because I don't have time to go to the recycle center so everything has been goin going into the trash can.
