To My Own Children

Parents sacrifice so much for their children, but sacrifing means giving up something good for something better. Yeah, I think they're a lot better than any trip around the world, superwomen career, a completely clean house or expensive jewelry. I always tell my kids they are the jewels in my crown and I am happy with that!

To My Child
by Anne Campbell
You are the vacation I did not take;
You are the pearls I cannot buy;
You are my blue Italian lake;
You are my piece of foreign sky.

  1. I think President Hinckley quoted that poem in one of his talks. I love it! So true. So true.

  2. That's right, Jill. From his General Women's Conference talk "In the Arms of His Love" in 2006. You are good!
