Easter with the Family

Did you miss me? Oh, you didn't even notice I was gone? That's okay. I missed reading all my friends' blogs and it will take me a while to catch up! You all have been busy posting.
Since I've been away, I didn't yet post my Easter photos (especially for my sister Tiffany and her husband in Georgia who weren't with us). The only activity I took photos of was our Easter egg dying. We all got busy in the craft room...
But I didn't take any photos of my children and their Easter baskets. Since it was conference weekend, no one wanted to get all dressed up in nice Easter clothes, except Sabrina. She wore a pretty yellow dress while we watched the Sunday sessions, but changed before we went to my parents' for Easter dinner. I didn't even get a photo of her all dressed up. And I didn't take any photos of the kids busy at work on all their conference activities. They really got into it, especially after Elder Jensen's visit to our ward. They want to be able to recognize someone if we have another visitor. Me too!
All of the Easter day photos I have are from our family Easter dinner.
None of the children knew that an Easter egg hunt was planned, so we didn't bring baskets, but there were plastic bags that worked just fine. My nephews Avi and Itai are pretty new to Easter egg hunts, although they did have one in their neighborhood. They weren't quite sure what to do at the beginning.
My niece Aileah doesn't know what an Easter egg hunt is and of course can't understand the deep meaning of Easter, but she already understands that Easter is full of yummy treats to eat---even if they're inside the egg.
Quickly Avi and Itai got the hang of it and started to have fun.

Itai with his Abba/father (my brother) Jared.
Avi with his uncle (my other brother) Jon.

Itai with his Ima/Mother (yep, my sister-in-law) Debbie. (She is from Israel and they use Hebrew words for mother and father in their family.)
Since Aileah isn't walking quite yet, I didn't get lots of photos of her walking around for the hunt, but she was busy being cute the whole night.
Sabrina was busy too--reading about chickens in my parents' encyclopedia so we can get a step closer to having another pet...

and perfecting her bubble gum bubbles.
Alex was working on his juggling with homemade balls made from balloons and rice that the kids made with their Aunt Sheri.

Avi was so cuddly with Alex all night, running up and hugging him and then running away or even sitting on his lap. Avi did not want to leave at the end of the night, but he and his brother were tired and had to leave. Goodbye, family, until our next fun get-together.
