Heather's Shower

On Saturday, my mom, sister Sheri, sister-in-law Debbie and I threw a baby shower for my sister Heather's first baby! We divided all the work for the shower and I think it came together pretty nicely. My mom bought almost everything for the tables and decorations and lots of cute little touches like It's a Girl mints and pretty paper for us to write advice to Heather. (I forgot to take a photo of that table.) Sheri and my mom did a LOT of work without Debbie and me, putting up all the tables and chairs and decorating. Debbie lives more than half an hour away, works and has two little ones of her own so it was hard for her to get there early. Then I was ready, but my two (old enough to know better) girls were so slow that morning that we didn't get there as early as I wanted to either. Here's the loaded food table. (Look for recipes soon.) I was in charge of the centerpiece and had grand ideas, but my budget made me tame them. It was very simple, but unique. And now I'm using them for a luncheon with friends at my house this week. The pink ribbons at each place setting is a little pacifier on the ribbon to wear for a game. (Can't say "cute".)
Heather got so many cute outfits and LOTS of diapers and wipes. Yay!
Debbie was in charge of party favors and went all out with these cute bags full of goodies (Bath & Body works gel, a candle and candy.)
Sheri sewed these adorable bags to put store-bought muffin mixes in for prizes.
And the most important part of any party---family and friends!
