Fruity Fruit Dip

I had this dip at a friend's baby shower and was glad to get the recipe. I made it last week and everyone (except the usual, Sabrina) tried it and liked it. To quote my husband, "It makes eating fruit fun." That made me smile. Funny guy. Maybe I should change the name to Fun Fruit Dip.
Fruity Fruit Dip
1 (8-oz.) tub strawberry or pineapple soft-style cream cheese
1 (7-oz.) jar marshmallow crème
1 t. orange juice
1 t. lemon juice

In a mixer bowl, beat together cream cheese, marshmallow crème, orange juice and lemon juice. Beat until smooth. Refrigerate before serving.
Yield: 2 cups

  2. Hello Valerie, I've been so bad about commenting lately. I've got to get back to it. I do stop by often though! I love learning more about your background and the fun you had during Christmas. You have a wonderful family.

I love fruit dip. I've never added orange or lemon juice though. I just use the flavored cream cheese and marshmallow cream. Does it preserve it to make it last longer? Or is it just a flavor enhancer?

  4. Sondra, I think it's just for flavor. I've never tried it without so I don't know how much difference it makes. I'd imagine it's good either way!
