For Me?

Sylwia of Unsifted (lots of yummy food from a Polish gal, living in Las Vegas, married to a Chinese guy, cooking international food) was so nice to choose me as one of the recipients of the Honest Scrap Award. This award is gifted to blogs that are encouraging, inspiring, or brilliant so I am so honored to receive it with all the wonderful blogs out there!
The rules of accepting and sharing this award are:

*Thank the person who gave the award and link to their blog.
*Share "10 Honest Things" about yourself.
*Present this award to 7 others whose blogs you find encouraging, inspiring, or brilliant.
*Contact the bloggers and inform them they've been given this award.

***Update: Serene reminded me that I didn't share 10 things about myself. Oh, yeah. I'll have to think about that and post it on the next post.

So I am presenting this award to 7 wonderful bloggers, but it was so very hard to choose 7 when I love so many. I wasn't going to name anyone since I visit so many, but I wanted to introduce my readers to some of the blogs that I read that they might not have seen before. I decided to start with a few of my followers who I haven't posted a link to yet.

1. Alisha Whitifeld-- She is one of the authors of the blog Homemaking Honeys where there are so many great homemaking ideas. You can even join the network and become an author.

2. Devon at The Daily Dakin who inspires me with her stories and photos of her little boy who has Spinal Muscular Atrophy with Respiratory Distress (SMARD). Her love and patience ooze out onto her blog and inspires me to do better and be more grateful and loving.

3.Sondra shares lots of fun posts about her family, the gospel, recipes, and more at Happy Clean Living .

4. Serene at Serene is my name, not my life! shares stories about her family and life with lots of humor.

Here are a few other blogs that I like to visit.

5. Ingrid has so many super-delish recipes and occasional glimpses into her life with photos of her beautiful family at 3 B's .... Baseball, Baking, & Books .

6. Eat Your Veggies Peas has several cooks posting many good recipes and not just veggie recipes.

7. Sarah at Sarah Smiles posts lots of photos of her family, life as a mom and her primary calling.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A middle-aged woman had a heart attack and was taken to the hospital, where she had a near death experience on the operating table. Coming face-to-face with God she asked, "Is my time up?"
"No, my dear," said God, "You have another 43 years, 2 months and 8 days to live."
Upon her recovery, knowing she had so much more time, she figured she might as well make the most of it. So she stayed on for a facelift, some liposuction, and a tummy tuck. She even changed her hair color. After her last elective, she was released but while crossing the street to the parking structure, she was run over by an ambulance. Arriving in front of God, she demanded, "I thought you said I had another 40 years? Why didn't you pull me from out of the path of that ambulance?"
God replied, "I didn't recognize you"!
  2. I had to laugh. I was just getting ready to award you a blog award that I had received 2 months ago but hadn't got a chance to blog about it! Too funny. Hopefully I get a chance to post it today or tomorrow.
    But I feel so... famous! LOL! Thanks!
    P.S. You forgot to share the 10 honest things about you!
